Ok, this is day number one sans Wheelers since June 8th!!! (which explains why I haven’t been blogging!) Whatever will ‚ I do with myself today? Josh and I had a nice Anniversary weekend (June 11). We were also able to help my Grandpa Clark celebrate his 94th birthday! And Josh took the older kids to see the Prophet of his church speak in Iowa City. Josh and Chris have now been to two of their BBQ competitions (as judges, not competitors) and they’re talking about the next 3! Of course we played a lot of ROOK and while for the most part Kate and I ‚ slaughtered the guys, they did take a few games (it was Father’s Day weekend after all ;)) Just kidding. They have been slowly learning some strategies and some of our playing styles–they’ve been reading our Book of Rook (rough draft, not yet in publication, look for it in stores hopefully by Fall 2007 just in time for the holiday ROOK rush!) Jacob had his last T-ball game this past Saturday and he made an awesome double play! He stopped a grounder coming to him as shortstop, picked it up quickly and shot it to the first baseman before the batter made it there! (Now, this is like peewee T-ball and they don’t even try to pitch and there are no outs and everyone takes one base at a time etc. so he didn’t like help “win” the game or anything, but it was good to see him succeeding and having fun.) Elise started her dance classes too. So far she’s had fun getting to wear the leotards and showing off her jazz moves. She especially likes leaping. All three of the older children got burned the first day we put out the blow-up wading pool in the backyard–my bad, completely forgot about sunscreen! We’ve overcompensated for that now every time they go swimming we make them wear not only loads of sunscreen, but their shirts as well. Last night I did Kate’s hair and it took phenomonally long, plus, we don’t know yet how it turned out so she may yet just redo everything! I could probably keep going on and on, but the kids are asking for baths and food etc. and telling me that I’m “no fun!” So…I have to go and do something about that!

Jack Sparrow: She's safe just like I promised. She's all set to marry Norrington just like she promised. And you get to die for her just like you promised. So we're all men of our word really except for, of course, Elizabeth, who is in fact, a woman.

Remember Becca, he’s the prophet of the world.
Today is Tuesday. We’ll be there in just three more days. Stay strong.
Well Chris, while I understand your point of view (and Josh has said the same thing to me many times) and I do not wish to get into a religious debate, “he” is only the “prophet of the world” according to your church.
Yeah Becca, he’s your Prophet too!
I wish I could come today, but alas, I can not… although, maybe I will, you never know!
Love, Kate :wow:
You don’t have to put “he” in quote marks, like I just did! And also, according to Jesus and Heavenly Father
Anyways, Kate IS coming tonight. Enjoy her.
Sure glad I’m staying out of this one!
But if I did get into it, I’d try to be gentle…
