So, I guess its been a while since I’ve written anything. We had house guests for several days and this week has been full of all kinds of those things that you just have to do now and again like dentist appointments, Cub Scout picnics, and laundry. Also, we are hosting a backyard BBQ party here Friday evening so we’re prepping for that and then we leave first thing Saturday morning for Muscatine where we are having Elena’s first birthday party. Just to catch you up on a few things happening with me right now, I have transferred my addiction to Little Debbie Fudge Rounds to Little Debbie Nutty Bars–which for some reason I can NOT stop calling Nutter Butters (an underated cookie)! And I have rediscovered in my attempt to stay awake all hours of the night playing ROOK with the Wheelers the fabulous Frappuccino. However, in an attempt to asuage my husband and to limit my own addiction, I purchased a four pack each of Vanilla, Caramel, and Mocha and have said that once those are gone I will not buy any more. So, now the problem is that my addiction to them requires that I drink at least one per day so I’m already down to like 5! And I’m not yet growing tired of them. In other family news…Elise is enjoying her dance lessons, Jacob has decided that he is in LOVE with Hermione from the Harry Potter movies, Cameron has been getting up at like 6 am, and Elena, well, Elena is just adorable pretty much 24/7! Aren’t they all?! Also, I am very pleased to announce that I have convinced Kate that old movies are fun to watch and so we have now seen together An Affair to Remember, The Women, and the first parts of North By Northwest and Roman Holiday. I’m considering entering the Columbia House DVD club in order to get more of the old movies I like that I can’t seem to find in places like my beloved W-M.

I'm not saying I'd like to build a summer home here, but the trees are actually quite lovely.

Incidentally, my favorite of the Frappuccino is…I think…the Vanilla. Which surprised me. I thought for sure it would be the Mocha, and I had low expectations for the Caramel, but it’s quite good too. I like to stick them in the freezer untill they’re partly frozen and slushy-like.
I miss you!!! I can’t wait to see you soon! :faint:
