Elena had her well-check doctor’s appointment this morning. I will tell you now that she is fine and progressing along nicely–33 inches long and 26 pounds. Believe it or not the doctor said she’s on the tall and slendor side! ;)  She was so cute and snuggly this morning I almost hated to take her to the appointment because I was afraid she’d get mad at me for letting them hurt her. After the nurse took all her measurements etc. and before the doctor came into the room, Cameron kept Elena busy with a little game of copycat (Oh how cute!!! Copy-C.A.T., Cameron Alan Thrap!  ). She just adores Cameron. I told Cameron he had to sit in the chair and Elena wanted to sit with him.Â
They were so cute together I had to whip out the camera (since I just happened to have it with me because for some reason I have the kids’ current medical insurance cards in the camera case…go fig) and when they caught me taking their picture they really started to ham it up. But then I had to put Elena up on the table.  At first she wasn’t so sure about being up there but she was still being so cute!
I snapped a couple more quick pics and then put the camera away so the doctor wouldn’t walk in and catch me and think “What a FREAK!” I just thought she looked so cute and she really was behaving very well. She also really liked the little elephants on her gown. She did not really like the four shots they stuck in her legs and she let us all know it, but she calmed down almost immediately when she realized that it was all over and she got to get dressed and put her shoes on again. Elena LOVES wearing her shoes. Since both kids did so well out in public (and since it is Wednesday and our McDonald’s has a special on Happy Meals every Wednesday) I got them both a Happy meal for the ride home. I was very tempted to just grab a little something for myself also because I’d forgotten to eat breakfast somehow and felt ravenous, especially when I realized Josh still had my $5 and so I would have to break a $20 for the $1.59 Happy Meals anyway, but I stayed strong and kept to my “no fast food” ideal. This post isn’t really about me, but in case you’ve been wondering since my post about “I love food,” I have stuck to my eating goals and been walking outside every day. My bathroom scale says I’ve lost two pounds, but I don’t count them untill it’s over 5 pounds because I figure it could just be the difference in my clothes or water weight or something. Still, 2 down is better than 2 up anyday!!!
Cuteness!!! I love when you post pictures! I sure wish I could post pictures on MY blog!
Plus, how adorable is it that they have baby sized gowns?! SO CUTE!
Those are some cute kiddos! I hate well check appts. too. Way to go on the two pounds, and way to stick to your no fast food rule. Just thought I would point out though that Mickey D’s has some wonderful salads, have you tried the Asian one? I love it, in fact I had it for lunch today!!!
I am willing to bet those pics will be going into a scrapbook. I’m excited to see what you and Kate have done since I saw the books last!
