What is it about showering that can at times make it seem like just the last thing in the world that you really want to do? I mean, it always feels good to get clean, right? And I have an internal self-check that says you can not go out in public today until you’ve showered. I still don’t want to, but I know that I cannot just stay home all day because of the appointments mentioned in my earlier post and my desire to go to the store to get a watch back on my wrist. So inevitably I succomb to the internalized social pressure to be clean. I guess that means I got to go take a shower. Ugh.

You know we're sitting on four million pounds of fuel, one nuclear weapon and a thing that has 270,000 moving parts built by the lowest bidder. Makes you feel good, doesn't it?

I’m with you on this one, I have to shower everyday too! I believe if one showers it benefits others!
That’s my philosophy. Case in point, I was at Michael’s, buying what else, but scrapbooking supplies, when I caught a whiff of the lady behind me. It was very obvious she was a cat person!!!whew, it was really, really bad. So, in closing I thank you for showering everyday! I hope others are thankful that I shower everyday too!
I don’t know what it is either, but I agree it is generally a pain. Perhaps it’s getting naked and having to see myself as I hoof myself over the bath tub into the shower, or having to work the shampoo and conditioner through my curly, tangly hair, or realizing that not only do I need to shower I probably need to shave too… in any case showering means a lot of work. Not to mention all the crud you have to do once you get OUT of the shower!
Well, I am with Kate, I hate getting in the shower and realizing that a shave is in my immediate future. If everything were as easy for me as it is for my husband…He hops in, squirts shampoo all over his fur, does a little lather & rinse…and he’s off. Ok, well, he has to shave his face but boo hoo I have to menstruate…so we’re even…
Not only that but I get in the shower and realize that it could use a bit of a cleaning, so I clean it…and then I am running late…Oh, who am I kidding, I don’t have anywhere to be…
Finally, I have decided to grow out my hair and the drying process takes close to 30 minutes if done properly…so, it is frankly a huge annoyance. Perhaps I will pull a Sinead and shave my head.
Showering is one thing I look forward to daily. To be clean is wonderful. i really disagree that it is a bother.
i am with the ladies on this one joshy-poo! the shower itself is enjoyable… it is all of the things that come along with the 1 min of soaping… like washing thoroughly rinsing shampoo, conditioning, stepping from warm shower into cold dry bathroom air, dealing with wet hair… and if there is someplace to be, going through the entire 30min process of facial skin care, make-up, hair… and doing it in the order as to not screw up your outfit (deo marks… wet hair making wet neck collar…). im done now.
