It really hasn’t been easy. You know I’ve been trying to watch what I eat for two or three months now. Fall is such a difficult time because people bake and apples are in season and I LOVE apple pie, and pumpkin pie and pumpkin bars etc. Also, holidays. ‘Nuf said. Now I’m not gonna sit here and type that I haven’t eaten some crap, but all things considered I have been fairly vigilant. And FINALLY it is starting to pay off! I don’t think it’s really noticeable yet, but according to my bathroom scale I have lost 20+ pounds! I am within 5 pounds of where I was last February when I was at my lightest weight in the last 7 years. I am down a jean size and am wearing tops that I haven’t been able to wear in months! Now, for some people 20 pounds would be a huge deal, but unfortunately for people of my girth it is but a nugget in the Economy Dog Food bag that I need to lose from my midsection. Still, it is no small accomplishment, and the scales are still moving down! I would love to lose another 10 before Christmas, but we shall see how quickly the weight loss continues. Luckily I have found some recipes and grocery items that are making it easier for me to pass on the things I should NOT be eating. I do need to work on exercising more. I keep telling myself that’ll just help the weight melt off faster, but I still just can’t seem to get motivated to “work out.” Still, I am hoping that this 20 is just the beginning of a huge life change for me.

Congratulation! I thought you looked slimmer at Brian’s party.
Don’t be so hard on yourself, this time of the year is hard for everyone.
I am VERY proud of you! Keep on trucking along!
did you get my email? come work out with me at the office after work….. we can motivate each other.. and figure out the bowflex!
Oooooohhhhh Becca,
I love you and I love your way with words! I just had to laugh out loud. “…a nugget in the Economy Dog Food Bag…” is so descriptive. Where do you come up with these descriptions?
I didn’t send you the 1,000 cookie recipies web-site I got the other day from Aunt Jan–knowing you’re looking for a healthier way of living. I’ll try to bring you some receipts for healthy treats when I come for T-giving.
Keep it up! And let me know if you succeed in flexing the bowflex.
