Our Company is non union. Our Carpenters working is a non Union Situation, but in part we are also the employer. Is biting the hand that feeds you an effective way to get more food?

But why shouldn't a union picket a job site to call attention to practices by an owner whose headquarters is somewhere else? So, the real question is: Why are parts of your company using non-union contractors?

Actually, win-win bargaining is always preferable to win-lose--for everyone involved. But at least one party has to be willing to try or it's impossible. I don't agree that unions have "run their course." But I'm always disappointed whenever they're not smart, because that costs their members and worsens the reputation of their cause.
