Ok, the first time I said flu shot this morning it reminded me of the song, and nothing connected in my head to make me think “…but the song is shoo fly,” because for some reason they sounded the same to me. Anyway, you can probably guess what prompted this all. I’ve had a flu shot. My first ever. I was having a check-up and the doctor asked if I wanted my flu shot. I made kind of a scrunched-up face and went eeeennnnnnhhhhhhh, to which the doctor said while nodding her head up and down “yes, doctor, sure, I’ll take the flu shot.” So I took it. She did offer me the up-the-nose-spray alternative, but I just imagined that feeling terribly uncomfortable, so I sucked it up for the shot. Of course this was almost 7 hours ago and just talking about it now is making my arm throb! I also made an appointment for all of my kids to get flu shots next week. Their first also. They don’t know about it yet though. >insert wicked laugh< And in completely unrelated news, my friend Danaka is home from the hospital today with her brand new baby girl, Chloe.

President: We didn't see this thing coming? Dan: Well, our object collison budget's about a million dollars. That allows us to track about 3% of the sky, and beg'n your pardon sir, but it's a big-ass sky.

Yes, I have to get one too. I think especially this year since I sit in an 8×8 room with small children many hours of the day!
