Yesterday we congratulated our daughter Elise for going a whole week without any daytime bathroom accidents. I took Elise in a special mother-daughter bonding moment to get her ears pierced. Of course I have pictures but I still don’t know how to put them here on the blog. After much hmmming and hawing and excited bouncing about, she finally decided on the light crystal sapphire blue earrings. She really wanted the crystal flowers, but I was too nervous that they would be more difficult to keep clean and more likely to catch on things and hurt her. So she graciously accepted my offer to buy her flower earrings later when she can change them. The store also had some clearanced earrings that we perused and I let her choose a couple pairs for later. She really liked the big dangly crystal ones, but she chose a cute little pair of silver butterflies and some big golden owls. She also seems very excited to get to borrow some of mom’s earrings…so I guess we’ll be seeing about that.

Conga-rats on the dry days, Elise! Thought you had enough holes in your head. Be careful and be sure to keep those ears clean and uninfected. Look forward to seeing you soon!
